    • What to Expect During Treatment

    During the first visit, Dr. Detienne will secure your brackets and wires. Then, every four weeks, you’ll return for adjustments. Using custom Patient Tray Kits by Six Month Smiles® make these periodic checkups efficient. Most cases are finished in approximately six months, though some require a bit shorter or longer treatment times. Once your braces come off, you’ll wear a retainer as instructed to keep your teeth in proper position. (A retainer is necessary following any orthodontic treatment, including traditional, short-term, and aligner treatments.)
